Is The "War On Terror" Over?

It is very apparent to anyone not living under a rock these days that it is the intention of the current administration to destroy all the efforts and progress made by the previous administration. After all, did Obama not campaign and continue to campaign under the very popular and likable phrase "the failed policies of this/previous (Bush's) administration".

His very first act as POTUS was to order the closing of Guantanamo Bay. Then he lifted the ban on restrictions for federal funding for abortions, then it was the removal of stem cell funding restrictions.

And now, it is apparent that the "War on Terror" is over. Or at least it has a new, catchy name: "Overseas Contingency Operation". It rolls right of the tongue, doesn't it. Wonder if without his teleprompter he could even say this.

Is this his way of letting terrorist know that the war is over? Is this his way of letting people that want to kill us know that there's no "war"? Or is this just his way of reaching out to the international community?

I don't know about you, but I sure do feel safer now. Thank you, Mr. President for putting American's safety first!
