Reply to Rep Bart Gordon's Request For My Opinion

On March 17th, I posted an e-mail that I received from Congressman Bart Gordon (D-TND6) asking for my opinion... here's my reply.

Congressman Gordon:

On Friday, March 13, 2009 I received an e-mail from your office requesting my opinion regarding the matter of NASA Inspector General Moose Cobb.

I first would like to thank you for your efforts to control wasteful spending by our government.

However,

Since you asked… I must ask:

$1 Billion in stimulus money; our money, for NASA? Just how many permanent, new jobs is this suppose to create? How many of these jobs go to Tennesseans?

Also, since we’re talking wasteful spending, could you please elaborate on your European Vacation costing us, the taxpayers an estimated $7,250 at a time when every dollar spent matters? I have yet to hear or read an explanation on this issue despite the many requests from your constituents to do so.

I understand that Mr. Dave Evans has made some pretty specific and public requests from you including but not limited to the repayment of these funds. Again, I have yet to hear your response to these demands.

Respectfully Submitted
